The Nechville "Flex Tone" is an affordable US made banjo with all the features you need in a professional banjo without some of the bling which saves you money but not quality, playability and tone.
The Nechville Flex Tone has a traditional Gibson Mastertone Style pot with flathead tone ring, 3-ply maple rim and one piece flange. This is different from the non traditional Tom Nechville helimount system design on most of their banjos.
Although Nechville is not known for making traditional bluegrass banjos this banjo nails it. I love this banjo.
It has the class, neck feel and quality of an American built and engineered Nechville with the tradional bluegrass sound and an amazing price point. This banjo is every bit the banjo that retail for twice as much and is handbuilt in the USA by Tom Nechville and his staff.
Not only that the Flex Tone has the full neck adjustability that Nechville is famous for, on a traditional pot. Nechville's Flex-Tone banjos use a standard banjo body with a flat head tone ring, 3-play maple rim, flange and with a Nechville neck, connected by our Flux Capacitor.
The Flex-Tone series starts with the Classic FT banjo. The Classic FT features a Classic peghead, the stylish Diamond Blossom inlay on a non-radiused fingerboard. A comfort beveled armrest, Nechville Enterprise compensated bridge and the Nechville inline tailpiece make this a solid, snappy bluegrass banjo. The Nechville neck system allows for easy adjustment of the action, and even simple removal of the neck for traveling purpose.
Add a sturdy hard shell case and you have a banjo that will outplay instruments costing hundreds more.
