With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, generally around the belly button. To ensure a comfortable fit, keep one finger between the measuring tape and your body.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpfulI just received my Nechville Athena from banjoteacher.com (Ross Nickerson). The banjo is truly awesome! Came in with no high or low frets, neck bow at 0.008" and action a tad high at 0.080" which I opted to bring down to 0.070" by adjusting the neck pivot at the heel. The Nechville neck pivot system operates just as smoothly and easily as advertised and this was a 5 minute adjustment including the time it took for me to read the instructions. This banjo just rings and sustains like crazy without having harsh harmonics and still maintains a plucky sound. Head tension is great. So nice to get an instrument that doesn't require a lot of re-work! It turns out that the neck does have a bit of colored abalone inlay so it seems slightly more embellished than a stock unit (maybe not but the inlay really sets the neck off). I've got 5 other banjos: 2 Gold Tone acoustics, one Gold Tone electric, one Bishline Clermont and a Nechville Athena maple custom. They are all great. The tone, weight and volume vary but all can produce an authentic banjo sound. The Nechvilles excel in many areas including ease of adjustment, variety of adjustments, compensated bridge and a very modern appearance including the wooden hand guard. Most of my banjo's were bought from Ross and he was able to get me the instruments I wanted on time at a fair price. Happy customer here!
