These are great sounding banjos and you can see they look really good too. Frankly I'm surprised I have not sold even more of these. This a fantastic innovation. Banjos are heavy, too heavy really, this wood rim produces a great sound without the bulky heavy feel of normal flat head tone ring banjos.
This banjo is easier to practice with and perfect for gigs when you have to stand for a long period of time. It also would work well for someone who wanted the tone of a flathead but due to physical limitations could not use the heavier bluegrass banjos, or just did not want to struggle with the normal weight of a bluegrass banjo. The Banjo Cruise Workshop is held in a large private conference room that is essentially sound proof and separate from all other passengers. The workshop takes place during the days we are at sea so you can visit all ports and still have plenty of time for fun with your spouse, family or friends while on the cruise.
