Best Banjo Strap for Beginner Banjos - Uses Leather Tabs
BEST BANJO STRAP FOR BEGINNER BANJOS
Attaches to the banjo with no noise, non scratch leather tabs that fit all beginner banjos, and uses no metal on metal parts.
This banjo strap is perfect for lighter weight beginner banjos. It attaches with leather tabs that fit any banjo bracket type without using noisy metal clips.
This strap works great on lighter models and banjos without enough space under the hooks for a cradle strap. Uses leather tabs with plastic bolt and nut for attachment any size banjo head tightening hook or spacing of the hooks.
The leather tabs are the best way to attach a low priced banjo strap like this. Most music stores carry cheap straps that have metal clips that make noise and can scratch the wood and hardware on the banjo. Here is a picture of the leather tab that goes around the brackets holding down the head. It attaches easily and makes no noise when you move it and won't scratch the banjo.
These straps will work great for banjos without enough space under the hooks for a cradle strap.Uses plastic hooks that don't scratch and not the noise a metal hook would make. This design above is better but this strap will do the job and is better than the average banjo strap most music stores seem to have available. Ross Nickerson

With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, generally around the belly button. To ensure a comfortable fit, keep one finger between the measuring tape and your body.
Attaching the banjo strap Tip:
Hook the strap on the first or second head tightening bracket
under the neck so it supports the neck.
I would put it on the first or second bracket below the tailpiece,
the side closest to the floor on the other side too.
