"These made in the USA soft leather banjo straps with the "Cradle" design are made of bison leather and arrive already soft and broken in. They have a really nice padded shoulder with the thin part being what shows which is an excellent design. The straps come in both cradle and standard and are safe and very comfortable. The cradle straps attach with Chicago screws which is a much better method in my opinion than using the leather string like all other cradle straps I've ever seen. The come in the darker color leather strap, Chocolate and the lighter color leather strap, Tobacco. Lakota Leathers banjo straps are unique.
Our cradle straps feature a single "tail" section that completely encircles your banjo's pot assembly. making it a supporting safe design. Two Chicago screws are used to secure the tail section to the main body of the strap.
All Lakota Leathers banjo straps are made from Bison (American Buffalo) hide.

Important note about Cradle Straps -what banjos they work for!
The cradle strap is for bluegrass banjos that have a one piece flange.
The flange is what you tighten the head nuts against. These are banjos like the
Gold Tone BG250F, OB250. or Recording King RK R 75. If you have an open back banjo with the individual shoe and bracket system or a beginner banjo like the Gold Tone CC100R that has a resonator that is not attached with a one piece flange, I recommend this leather banjo strap that fits in a smaller space between the head tightening brackets.
The NON-CRADLE leather Lakota banjo strap works for one piece flange bluegrass banjos too, but not for most open back banjos or lighter weight banjos with resonators but not a one piece flange. Those use this leather banjo strap for open back banjos

On both 2 and 3 inch Lakota straps, the width of the leather that attaches around the head tightening bracket is 3/4ths of an inch.
