  Notes about Gold Star Banjos from Ross:
  I know a lot about Gold Star banjos having played one for 12 years in the 1980's and 90's. The new Goldstar Banjos have the same quality or better. In fact, the neck fits are better making them even more stable for better tuning and they sound great. Saga Music who manufacturers Gold Star banjos is owned by a banjo player and I can tell you that when he is very meticulous. Imagine how meticulous you would be if you were making a banjo for one of your heroes, JD Crowe to sign and play. Goldstar's attention to detail in quality, tone and workmanship has always been as close as you can get to the Gibson Mastertone of the 90's and 2000's. When you hold one in your hand they feel every bit the same quality. I'm confident if you had the opportunity to play both you would agree. I had a brand new Gold Star GF 300 in my hands not long ago and I could have sworn it was a Gibson Granada. The look, feel, tone, it was astonishing to me. My customer was shocked by its quality.
