The RK 75 is a banjo that I would not hesitate to play professionally, take on the road and do it all with. If you get one of these you will never need to buy another one. (your spouse may be happy to hear that). It has a one piece flange, flathead tone ring, presto tailpiece, Flying eagle fingerboard inlay, the neck feels great and produces deep tone. The RK 75 has the cool mastertone-style Flying Eagle peghead design and inlay that Don Reno, Bill Emerson and JD Crowe popularized.

The RK R 75-Elite is our most traditional Pre-war style banjo. Modeled after the original Mastertone banjos of the 1930's, the Recording King RK-Elite offers players vintage sound and handcrafted construction. Professional components like a classic Mastertone-style tone ring, true steam-bent 3-ply maple rim and nitrocellulose lacquer finish put this banjo in a category by itself. With classic design features like the vintage-style double-cut Recording King peghead and custom Flying Eagle-style peghead and fretboard inlay, this banjo proudly carries forward the tradition of one of the history's most revered instrument manufacturers.

....Ross, I got it today. I love it. Plain and simple nothing fancy. Its loud and it sounds better than the other 2 I own ever did. Here is the surprise. I popped in one of your instructional CD's and I knew right away I had been doing it wrong for almost a decade. Its the Play Banjo by ear and chording and its exactly what I needed a long time ago. What the hell is better than playing a new banjo with great instruction. Thank you very much for the tuner and CD's of your personal music. The item most valuable that I received today and better than the banjo itself by a long shot are your instructional CD's. I know I will fight to slow down my playing and finally fix my right hand ring finger head position but it has to be done. I will go through them all and build all the things I have missed out on. I am very pleased.

I am so happy with the instruments you put together for me. The Recording King is so bright-sounding and easy to play! For the first time, people in church could hear me. And the travel banjo is working out well, and allowing me to practice on the road. You are right, it is an easy transition to the shorter neck. I look forward to learning from your videos. I've received the buffalo-leather strap. Everything is perfect!
