This white, frosted banjo head available in medium, high or low crown will fit almost all banjos. Diameter is the standard 11”. The Remo weather king banjo head is the banjo industry standard, They are a long wearing banjo head that give a consistent tone and sound as good as new for as long as 5 to 10 years.
Choosing the right size banjo head
Low, Medium and High Crown Head Sizes Available
Measure your banjo for the correct head diameter
Your banjo's rim may be slightly out of round, so take at least three diameter measurements at different points on the outside of the banjo's tone ring or rim top. Use the average diameter to the nearest 1/16" to order the correct size.
Most modern banjos use an 11"-diameter head. Modern makers of "old-time" open-back banjos usually use 11" (and sometimes 12") heads. Vintage banjos, (antique banjos from the early 1900's) however, may have a range of rim diameters from 10" to 12".
How to choose the correct crown height
Crown height is measured by the vertical distance from the top of tension hoop (metal ring that goes around the head) to the top surface of the head.
Banjo Head Crown Height
High Crown 1/2 inch
Med Crown 7/16 inch
Low Crown 3/8 inch
Banjos with a heavier flathead tone ring use a medium or high crown head. A banjo with an Archtop tone ring requires a low crown head.
If you are not sure what size crown, get a medium, that is the most common. 11 inch is also the most common and what is used on the vast majority of banjos.

With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, generally around the belly button. To ensure a comfortable fit, keep one finger between the measuring tape and your body.
