The Recording King Madison RK R-15 is an underestimated little power pot of a banjo. I love this banjo for beginners and I personally recommend it over others in the same price range. I recommended it to the young student below in the picture and you can see his joy. It has a lot of the same parts as the more expensive Recording King models, the same resonator, neck wood, tailpiece, armrest, hoop as its more expensive big brothers the RK R 30 and 35. Its light and easy to learn on and has a tough and more expensive Amercian Made look to it. There is no appearance of cheap efforts to make it look expensive, Its like a roughed down stock car that still has lots of punch and you'll be proud playing it. These banjos are designed by an American Banjo player that worked for Gibson and had his own banjo building company for many years. It's not the same animal as banjo imports straight from the factory with only the respected American names like Fender, Gretch, and Wasburn stamped on them.

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, generally around the belly button. To ensure a comfortable fit, keep one finger between the measuring tape and your body.
