Bob Carlin Gold tone Banjo
Following the success of the Bob Carlin models BC-350 and BC-350+, Gold Tone introduced a new brother, the BC-120. This economically priced version of the BC line has many of the features of it's costlier relative: 12" rim and frailing scoop to play over the neck for a deeper tone, a wider fingerboard to facilitate drop thumb, a "hot-dog" vintage-style armrest but sells for a fraction of the price. For those that want to get into a 12" rimmed banjo at the beginner price, the BC-120 is for you.

I must tell you that I am totally impressed with the tone and playability of this beautiful banjo. I called Gold Tone to get some additional information and they acknowledged their confidence in your site as a trustworthy and informative source. After dealing with them and you I must totally agree. I've invested in other instruments in this price range in the past but I have never been as impressed with the quality and value I experienced with the purchase of this Gold Tone banjo.

It's really a better instrument than I expected for the price

I Purchased the Gold Tone BC 120. You had the best price after adding hard case and discount for gig bag, plus omitting the beginner book. I'm totally pleased with the BC 120. The fit and finish is flawless, and playability is excellent. It's really a better instrument than I expected for the price. For someone that wants a 12 inch pot, but can't afford the higher priced ones, it's a good value for the money.
I would recommend that anyone purchasing this model, to go ahead and get a hard case with it.
