I came up with the idea to offer an OB-150 Plus Model with JLS Tone Ring to offer my customers more punch for not that much more dollars. Gold Tone has been offering the OB-250 Plus with JLS tonering for 20 years. JLS tone rings were developed by Jim Stuhl. Gold Tone bought the JLS tone ring company and now can offer them for a much better price. The difference in price between the OB 250 and 250 Plus used to be about 750.00. Now the JLS only adds 398.00 to the price and that includes the installation. Listen to it and see what you think.

After talking w/Ross I decided on this configuration and it does not disappoint. This banjo sounds fabulous with lots of sustain which is just what i was looking for. It arrived mostly in tune and ready to play. After some fine tuning due to shipping movement it has stayed in tune since. The intonation is also spot on. It is hard to put this banjo down. I couldn't be happier and the service couldn't have been better. Took 6 days from placing the order until i had it in my hands. The whole experience and the banjo are pretty much perfect. Thanks, Ross!
