Swing Grass combines the talents of Gypsy Swing Guitarist/Vocalist Molly Reeves and Banjo Player Ross Nickerson. The collaboration is highly professional production that includes other top musicians on each instrument. Recorded in California, the CD sizzles with hot tempos, excellent musicianship and smooth vocals. Molly Reeves is a bright upcoming talent and her fire and energy burn through on every cut. Ross Nickerson's shows is versatility fitting in his swing banjo styles tastefully and with highly skilled technique.
There are several standards like Limehouse Blues and Lady Be Good that Ross tears up and some new ones like Dark Eyes that really rock. Molly can really groove and the whole band locks in and produces a fresh new sound.

Molly Reeves has released “Swing Grass, featuring Ross Nickerson,” a collection of jazz standards like Limehouse Blues, Lady Be Good, Over the Waves (done like a New Orleans second line), and more. Reeves is a young jazz singer who obviously loves her Dixieland music; she says it was her father’s idea to do a jazz-bluegrass fusion project. And this is a really strong recording, full of energy, fun, and great banjo playing from Nickerson. He is supported by Reeves on guitar, along with mandolin, trumpet, bass, and occasionally drum, violin and saxophone. Reeves is a fetchingly sultry singer (she sounds a bit like Nora Jones), and Ross’s banjo is a thrilling addition to songs like Spontaneous Dislocation Blues, Dark Eyes, The 154 (a version of when the Saints …).
