The attention to detail is excellent. The tone was deep and throaty. It has a noticeably good bottom end, both my set up guy and I noticed that right away. Banjos are inherently bright but banjos that also have balanced tone and a strong voice on the bottom are not as easy to come by. Up the neck the notes were loud and clear too which signifies a good quality tone ring. Just because all flathead tone rings are heavy when they are created, does not mean they are all created equal.
